About Us

The Pub Restaurant and Catering

As Keene’s oldest family restaurant, established in 1969, The Pub has seen many renovations and menu changes over the years. Affordability and quality makes The Pub Restaurant the Monadnock region’s favorite family restaurant. For over 48 years, our diverse, pocket book friendly menus have appealed to all age groups from all walks of life. The Pub is an integral member of Keene’s business community, as evident with our support of all local schools, charitable organizations, athletic teams, just causes, and, of course, Mayor Mike’s great support of the city itself.

As Keene’s longest reigning mayor, Michael E.J. Blastos served as mayor of the city of Keene, NH for 8 years, and prior to that, was elected to the Keene City Council for 21 years.

“Mayor Mike”, as he was affectionately known, was a restauranteur ever since 1946. He worked with his father, James K. Blastos, in Windsor, VT. Eventually, Mayor Mike had expanded his entrepreneurial skills to include ski resort concessions, tea rooms, restaurants, night clubs, pizza shops, industrial catering, and on and off premise catering services. He has catered Keene’s Air Show for 10,000 people and regularly caters to company functions of over 500 guests. Weddings, holiday functions, anniversaries, memorial bereavement functions, graduations, and clambakes are just a few of The Pub’s catering capabilities. The Pub is also fully licensed and insured to serve alcoholic beverages both on and off premise.
Managed by his daughter, Kimberly A. Ioannou, The Pub Caterers have been selected “Caterer of the Year” many times.

Mayor Mike was very active in The Pub’s daily routine until his passing in 2013.
